About Me

From as early as I can remember, I was always running, full of energy, and chasing a football. The game has been part of my life for so long that it is difficult to imagine who I would be without it.Growing up, everyone called me Ricardinho. Even now, at 1.91 meters tall, the nickname has stayed with me, especially because I am Ricardo Júnior. It is a name that carries my childhood, my family, and the people who have supported me throughout my journey.I was born and raised in Salvador, Bahia, a city where life gives you rhythm, character, and a little spice from the very beginning.Salvador shaped the way I see the world and the way I express myself, both as a person and as a player. I began travelling and playing away from home at a young age, learning early that pursuing a dream requires courage, sacrifice, and the ability to adapt.I love Brazil, my city of Salvador, and my home state of Bahia. One of my greatest ambitions is to represent where I come from on the international stage, carrying with me my ability, my personality, and the creativity and spirit of Brazilian football.I am also deeply proud of my Spanish heritage. Holding both Brazilian and Spanish nationality is an important part of my identity, allowing me to honour the two cultures that have helped shape who I am.Football is my greatest passion and my main focus. I have always been a goalkeeper and have never wanted to play anywhere else. I love the responsibility of the position, the pressure, the decisive moments, and the opportunity to protect my team. That does not mean I cannot contribute at the other end of the pitch; I have even scored from long distance and from corner situations. When the team needs me, I am ready.Away from football, I enjoy learning languages and discovering new cultures. In addition to Portuguese, I speak Spanish, Italian, and English. Education is also important to me, and I want to continue my studies in artificial intelligence applied to sports, with a particular focus on athletes and football players.

My goal is not only to grow as a goalkeeper, but also to develop as a person, disciplined, curious, prepared, and proud of every part of my story.

Professional Career

My football journey began in Brazil and has already taken me through different clubs, cultures, and football environments across Europe. Each stage has brought new challenges and valuable lessons.Playing in Brazil gave me the technical and personal foundation on which I continue to build. My experiences in Cyprus and Italy have helped me become more independent, adaptable, and mentally prepared for the demands of international football.Every club has played an important role in my development. Each training session, match, journey, and new environment has strengthened my character and reinforced my determination to keep improving and progressing in my professional career.
